Letters to Future Self

Have you ever tried to remember what you were thinking when you were 10? Or 15 or even as you went off to college? I do. And I am thankful that at certain points of my early life I kept journals. It helps me to remember where my head was and where I thought I was going. I can relive old friendships and relationships. Some bad times but mostly good ones. It was always important to me to remember the good stuff! SO I came across these blog posts Letter to Childless Self and Letter to my Future Self and I have decided I am going to write a letter to my future self. And I'll put it away and open it next January. Haven't decided what I'm going to say but I'm long winded so it'll probably be long :-) And I'll also write one to my husband to be opened the same day. And one to my child. The child I hope to have by then but as we all know that is one of the things that is in God's hands. I'll bundle them together and we'll open them the over brunch on the 1st. What are some things you'd tell your future self? What are some things you'd tell your children? Or your spouse? Is there anyone else you'd send a letter to? When I look back on the last 5 years I'd tell my self don't stress, you've already met the man you're going to marry and he's amazing. He will love and care for you in a way that you've never imagined. You're going to learn skills you didn't think you had. You're going to realize that your past mistakes don't have to define who you are. You can and will learn from them and be a better person because of them. Not really sure what else...But I have time! :-)
