In the "News"

I should clarify that by "News" I mean my Facebook News Feed! I have some awesome friends and they post some interesting stuff. So I want to share with you just in case you don't browse the online "news" sites!

1. Teen Mom Jenelle Gets Belly Ring - I'll start by saying Teen Mom needs to be off the air. At this point it is doing more harm than good. Especially for the girls actually on the show!! But this article - WHY is the fact that this girl got a belly ring newsworthy? Why? And she's critizxed for having an abortion and then months later being pregnant by her new boyfriend - WHY? She's on a show called TEEN MOM for crying out loud! I'm fairly certain all of these girls have had more than one pregnancy. And why not? Each pregnancy gets the girl even more famous. I mean who wants to watch a show where these kids turn their lives into something great. And all the drama! This is REAL LIFE - every relationship is filled with the drama of a soap opera! And this is what the young people watching are learning. 
2. Jailed for Overpayment of Child Support.  - Seriously? You can go to jail for being too much of a good father? WTW? I honestly can't understand this one. He over paid child support, and he saw his kid too frequently and doing these things landed this man in jail. If you didn't think our legal system needed an overhaul you should probably rethink that!
3. Awesome Dad Styles Daughters Hair - LOVE LOVE LOVE this! HATE HATE HATE that this picture actually inspired some really mean spirited and even racists comments. So often you see these stories about deadbeat dads. And yet a picture of a dad being a dad actually seemed to upset some people. 4. Teen Tweets Cancer Diagnosis - If you're a crier you should definitely grab a box of tissues! This beautiful girl tweeted about her brain cancer diagnosis. A blogger saw the tweets and put them together. It's sweet, sad, and beautiful all together. 
5. To end on a fun note -
   Parents leave this note for kids! Fun parenting. Especially if your kids are old enough for this. I don't recommend it if you have small children.
