OK so, last post I mentioned having a new job. And my goodness it has been quite a ride! I've never worked at a company in the beginning phase. For my first two weeks it was a LOT of paperwork, construction and set up. I did most of the back office work and the other assistant manager did the front desk electronic set up. Seriously talk about playing to our strengths! Now of course the owners have been working towards opening for almost 3 years. So to get to this past weekend was really amazing for them. It's called Pump It Up. And it's a childrens party play house essentially. We specialize in throwing incredible birthday parties for kids! From set up to clean up we do it all! And opening weekend showed me exactly how much fun it is! Seeing these kids and their families having such a great time and knowing that we were part of it was great. And to have the family members and friends of the families calling the next day to see when we'd be open for "Open Jump" and inquiring about parties tells me that we did quite a few things right. In fact, the things that went wrong, had nothing to do with the actual parties. And last night the owners took us out for a wonderful dinner at Cuba de Ayer. It was amazing! I highly recommend it if you're in the area! And then as we were leaving - gave the us Monday off to rest! I'm not sure I've worked 14 10 hour days since I was in college working at a restaurant. I had forgotten how tough it is to be on your feet all day. And to be "ON" all day! But I am truly counting it all joy! And my husband has been amazing. He's been so understanding about the long late nights. So tonight I'm thinking a special dinner... Not sure what's on the menu yet. I think I'll head over to The Dating Divas and check out their ideas for quick date nights!
Now it's time for my brunch and to enjoy this time off to get my house in order. I hear the laundry calling!
Happy Monday!
Congrats! Looks like your job and boss is awesome!
