Awesome weekend! Friday night I had a date with one of my dear friends. We had dinner at Houlihans and had planned to go see "The Other Woman". But by the time we finished dinner, we were both so tired we didn't think we'd make it through the movie so instead we went back to her house. When we got there the husbands were parked in front of a basketball game, pizza and beer! They were clearly not missing us! We all chatted for a while and then off to home for a date with the bed! We spent most of the weekend together. Went to the Habitat For Humanity Restore to look for some home stuff. This place is really great and the proceeds go to Habitat For Humanity! We didn't find any furniture we wanted but we did pick up some painting supplies. If you haven't been and there's one near you, check it out. It's similar to any other thrift or 2nd hand store. Only they have sections with windows, and doors. The one we went to even had a 14 piece kitchen cabinet set for $700. Such a good price Husband considered buying the whole set just to get the pieces we want to add to our kitchen. We also stopped at a Pop up rug and art store. Found rugs for the living and bed rooms. But boy was our bank confused! We had made purchases around the city and then went to make a large purchase (who knew rugs were so pricey??) And the bank referred the dealer to the fraud prevention department. Note to self - If you are in one state making purchases and you make a large purchase from an out of state retailer - call the bank in advance! Otherwise a quick purchase can turn into quality phone time with the bank!
Saturday night I met up with my Bff who I am now only 10 minutes away from for dinner and a movie. We went to a great sports bar, enjoyed wonderful food and when we got to the theater, the movie was sold out so we went to Cold Stone and talked some more! It was great. Way better than any movie could ever be. And Sunday we went to a new church. Zion Church in Largo. They have 4 services and the last one is at 1:30 - How awesome is that for those who are not morning people! They also seem to be in the business of taking church beyond the walls that hold the services. And really, isn't that what being Christian is supposed to be? I can't call it our new home church but we do have high hopes and will continue to pray about it. After church more shopping to find the accessories to put even more of us into our new home. Pictures to come!
Happy June people!
