So for the past month I've been playing with Insanity. I've been using two of the workouts for my cardio a couple days a week and doing strength training the other days. Why? Because Insanity scares me! And I really wanted to make sure I was gaining muscle and losing inches not just water weight. However I know from watching the hubby's transformation that this will drop pounds while seriously increasing your stamina. When we go to the park hubby takes of running and I'm still at a walk/jog. And out of breath after just a few minutes of jogging! And he's dropped weight. Probably 30lbs or so in the two months. So today after toying with it for the last month, I'm taking the plunge again. For those of you not familiar with Insanity, you begin with a Fit Test. And you will repeat this Fit Test a few times throughout the 60 days to gauge your progress. Each time I'll record my results here. So here are my
Fit Test Results Day 1:
Switch Kicks: 46
Power Jacks: 46
Power Knees: 78
Power Jumps: 20
Globe Jumps: 10
Suicide Jumps: 10
Push-Up Jacks:15
Low Plank Obl: 23/46 (depends how you count it )
And I am dripping with sweat! So today's workout is done and I feel great. Can't wait to watch the lbs melt away. In case you're wondering about diet - we eat fairly healthy meals around here. Very little processed foods and I rarely eat fast food. We also don't eat much in the way of junk food or dairy. Most meals around here are home cooked and as fresh as we can get from the store! Also Hubby has high blood pressure so we want to curb that now while he's young. No reason for someone under 30 to have to be on daily pills! So he's working hard to lower it. Any suggestions for healthy natural ways to lower blood pressure let us know!
Happy Monday!
