Growing Up

The joys of being a grown up! I have this wonderful townhouse in Nashville. And my tenant is moving out :-(  So hopefully the management company will be able to get someone in there before it starts costing us to much more money! We are in the process of refinancing which will be wonderful. Getting a 3.5% rate down from 6.1% Which means that the mortgage will go down about $350 per month! This is good and bad news. Bad because it also means we have to pay a down payment (bye bye vacation for this year to my dear friends wedding) Good because it means that we can rent it out for a reasonable rate which will also be enough to cover the entire mortgage and then some! Currently we are putting $300 a month towards the mortgage. With that expense gone that money will now go to my tuition! Yep I will be going back to school and it won't hurt our finances one bit! Now I just have to decide exactly what I'm going back for. The practical side of me says do a 2 yr program for medical assisting or office administration just to give myself the best shot of getting a job quickly. OR finishing my degree in social work. I think that'll take me about the same amount of time. I'm just no longer sure that I have it in me to become a social worker. So I'm going to pray about it and let God show me where to go from here. I don't want to go back to school and waste any more time than I already have. If I could go back in time I would tell myself to buckle down and do it. Not finishing school before now has really limited my opportunities. And as a result its slowing down some of the things I want to do. And while I know having a degree doesn't guarantee me a job in a time where there are more people looking for a job than jobs available every little bit helps. So that's whats happening in my neck of the woods!
Happy Friday folks!
