I have not weighed myself in almost 2 weeks. I will weigh in again on Saturday March 2nd. I am trying really hard to not get obsessed on the number on the scale like I have in the past. And while Hubby weighs in each week I appreciate that he understands that I will not. He's down about 12 lbs in just a few weeks! And he has asked me to toss his lay flat to dry sweaters in the dryer in hopes of shrinking them a little so he can hold out a few more weeks on buying more new clothes. He's only had these sweaters for a couple of months! So we're both thrilled with that. And probably in April we'll hook him up with some new clothes for Spring/Summer. Because we can already tell that the stuff in storage will not be fitting him this year! Salvation Army will be getting a few boxes of gently worn clothes from us! Now for me - my size 12 jeans are ridiculously loose! Even after coming out of the dryer. My "skinny" jeans that were bought specifically to be tucked into boots during these cold Winter months and they look so loose in the boots they've started to bunch up! It's not the cutest way to wear them but I'm thrilled! I can officially fit into my 10's! Many of which are boot cut so they go over my boots nicely! Not so great for my flat boots though - being 5'2 that means my boot cut jeans really need to be worn with heeled boots. But I'll take a little damage to the bottoms! After all, I won't be wearing these pairs of jeans next Winter!
Now on to the Fit part! On Valentines Day hubby brought me my 10 lb dumbbells! So yesterday I put on my big girl panties and put them to work! OMG! The difference between 5 and 10 lbs is crazy! In a good way of course! I have been doing an arm workout fairly consistently and it had gotten SO easy that I was easily running through the whole thing 3x before even beginning to feel anything! So I bit the bullet and did it with my new friends. And boy were my arms tired! I didn't even finish my push ups for the day because after the 30 I did for the workout - I didn't have it in me! Today I will add 10 to my push up challenge to compensate for yesterday!
