House Hunting!

The TV show really is much better than doing it in real life! House hunting is exhausting, time consuming and expensive!! Especially when you're looking in an area almost an hour from where you currently live. Gas is so expensive and I've filled up probably 7 times these past few weeks where I normally only do it once a week. But it was worth it! We saw some great places. After missing out on the 1st place, we kept looking. One of my favorites was a 4 level 3 bedroom 2.5 bath townhouse with a one car garage! They had done some excellent remodeling. Including using the attic space to enlarge the master. Initially there was no master bath. They added a few steps that lead to a beautiful ensuite! Jetted tub, large shower, dual sinks w/vanity and then the most beautiful LARGE walk in closet I've ever seen! I honestly don't think I've seen a closet this large in a townhouse. And there was additional finished storage space off the closet. It was really nice. Aside from the master, it did need a little work. And as nice as it was, it just wasn't the place for us. We saw another place that was TOTALLY renovated. Top of the line everything! Problem was the people who did the renovation are known for cutting corners and it just didn't feel like home. But then a new one popped up. It went under contract in September, it fell through and was back on the market. The layout was very similar to the 1st place we saw and loved. Biggest difference - the first place only had 2 bedrooms (large but still only two of them) And the basement in the 1st place had 3 rooms, and this one only has two - a living room and the laundry room. The downside is that the laundry room is not finished and is not laid out like I'd like it. I'm wondering how much it would cost to rearrange it. I'd love to do something like this.

And I'd be super excited if I had room to add
A jetted sink for washing those delicates!!

I have high and happy hopes for my future laundry room! I have a Board dedicated to the laundry room! Until Pinterest came along I never thought to paint or add a backsplash to the laundry room! I don't think a pretty space will make me love doing the laundry but it will brighten up the space and the room itself will be a happy place!

So we love the place and we put in an offer. It's a short sale and we're hoping that if they accept our offer, the home inspection doesn't reveal any issues that are beyond our reach financially as the house is "as is". So, we've prayed and our fingers are crossed. We'd love it if we got this place. But if not, we know that God has the right place for us. Only time will tell if this one is it! For now, I'll continue pin the desires of my heart and we'll see...

Happy weekend people!
