Home Base Show and Tell

As I mentioned before, after about 4 months of looking,  we found our home. We are moving into a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath two story townhome. Husband would have preferred a single family home, and while there are many many wonderful things about single family living, at this point in our lives (and budget :-) A townhome makes the most sense. And after much searching we found one we both really like. My favorite aspect of the home? Unlike ALL of the other townhomes we saw this one is only 2 levels. So we don't have an extra living room or rec room, but that's fine with us. That also means no "man cave" but Hubs will have an office and we'll make it cozy and man cave-like if that's what he wants. You enter the house to a large living room, beyond that, an updated kitchen with a lovely dining room and sliders to the deck (the backyard space is a fenced deck). There's also a two piece bathroom, storage space and laundry room. Up the stairs is more storage, a linen closet and two good sized spare bedrooms the main bath and a huge master. All the rooms, except the half bath have big windows! Tons of natural light all day. The kitchen, dining, laundry, and baths all have tile flooring, carpet up the stairs and in the upstairs hallway. The rest of the place is laminate wood floors. And behind our deck - a large grassy common area. Across from which is another set of townhomes. And the area has plenty of options for shopping, dining, and recreation. They aren't walking distance (well they are but there aren't many sidewalks once you leave the neighborhood).  Enough talk. Here's some pictures!

We have a mailbox! (and will get a different light fixture)
Welcome to our home! (living room)

Main Bath - must renovate! I don't like anything except the window!
And that friends, is the tour of our "starter" home! We are looking forward to putting our touch on it and making it our own.
Happy Saturday!

  2. Thanks!
We are all moved in and so excited! I was thrilled that the previous owners had re-done the kitchen! They did a wonderful job with their DIY project. Homeownership is definitely one of those scary/exciting things!
