Spring Has Sprung!

I have most definitely been waiting for warmer weather to arrive. It has arrived! And along with it - my allergies. I have spent the past few days miserable and drugged up. I was hoping that it wouldn't take my body long to get used to being here. Unfortunately that has not been the case. I am taking meds daily and benadryl at night so I can sleep and breathe. And I hate it. So my goal for this weekend is to find a specialist and hopefully get some relief and fast! On another happier note - We did our final walk-through at the house and we'll be closing on Monday afternoon! We are beyond excited. We even went to Home Depot to price a few things we'll be picking up next week. Found this New House Checklist on Pinterest! My favorite is #10 - Replace all toilet seats. After reading it, it kinda made sense. It's one of those things I never would have thought about. But #6 - I'm not leaving my spare key with a neighbor I've just met - who does that?

We had such a lovely Home Depot date this afternoon! I think we were there for a couple of hours. Who knew there were hundreds of ceiling fan options? And of the ones on display hubby liked ONE! I couldn't believe it. I would have picked out 3 or 4 different ones for the different rooms. We did manage to choose two toilet seats (again surprised at the size of the selection) and the new door knobs and locks. And we've decided that we're going to live in it for a little while before we make any major changes. The only thing I'm hoping to do is paint the main bath. We already know we're going to overhaul the whole thing eventually, but in the meantime, it's purple and not in a good way! We've also talked about adding a shower to the half bath instead of cutting into the master to add an "ensuite" Either way we'll reap the benefits of having two full baths, but if we skip the ensuite, our master stays spacious. So time will tell on that one. And pictures to come! Anyways, it's late and I need to let the benadryl do it's thing. I hope this Spring weekend is a beautiful one wherever you are!
