On Friday, we went to the movies and saw Captain America.Very good movie. I'm not a comic book fan but I do enjoy a good movie even if it's about comic books. On Saturday I went to a friend's housewarming party and Hubs and 4 buddies kicked off the birthday weekend with a stop at a yummy BBQ restaurant (that serves Blue Bell - if I wasn't a sane person I would have begged him to bring me some!!), then a Bulls game, stopped for a drink, and then a cigar bar! Hubs doesn't smoke but he enjoyed the atmosphere and said there's a nice restaurant attached and we should go sometime. And on Sunday, we went to a Braves game! Had a great time. It was a beautiful Spring day! Perfect for baseball. We had great seats at a great price - thanks to something called Stubhub! And for his birthday dinner - A great restaurant in Columbia called Sushi Sono. I'm not a fan of sushi but I tried it because he asked me to. And didn't like it. I did however LOVE my chicken teriyaki and veggies. Very well seasoned and great portion sizes! And the service was amazing! They even brought me some kiddie chopsticks... I was that bad at eating my salad with the chopsticks! If you're ever near Columbia and you want some Japanese food at a good price with great service check them out! And while I didn't take a bunch of pictures - Hubs did snap this one -
He was very entertained with my lack of chopstick skills! :-)
And his gift from his wife? (aside from tasting sushi - yuck!) Star Wars 4-6 on blu ray. He is a very happy man - especially since the gift came with a wife who is going to spend roughly 9 hours of her life watching the movies with him... He still can't believe I've never seen any of them - what can I say? I wasn't interested growing up (not totally interested now but I've heard good things about these 3 movies so I'm sure a review is in the future...)
The boring part of the weekend? Going through our spare room and getting rid of the things we know we don't want/need to take into the new house! And that includes bags full of clothes too big that are headed for a shelter! :-) Life is good!!

I might have to try that place one day...and happy birthday to your husband although it's belated...hope it was an awesome one!
