Bookworm weekend!

This weekend I burned through 2 books! And I wish I had bought them instead of borrowing from the library! However until we get space I will NOT bring anymore books into the house! Anyways on to the review!
I was initially looking for the next Yada Yada book and when the library didn't have it I found The Single Sister Experiment: What Happens When Single Women Stop Having Sex this and the second one and I must say - I'm so glad I did. Very well written and the characters were very well developed. While the auditorium was a bit unbelievable the woman there was speaking nothing but the TRUTH! As other reviews have stated, this book has the ability to convict you. And if you are willing to get to the heart of the book - you are a woman with POWER! And when you tap into that power, your life will change in the most amazing ways! I highly recommend it! There are a lot of Christian Fiction books that sugar coat real life and the ways that life can and will change when you truly decide to give your life to Christ and not only talk the talk but walk the walk. It isn't always easy, but it is always worth it.

The second book The Bride Experiment,
This books follows Joan and her friends from book 1 but it also adds in the male perspective. As book two continues we see growth but we also see that being a new or renewed Christian isn't always easy. It really can be difficult to give up your old ways especially when you think that other people are getting things that you desire and feel you have earned. Learning to be content in God and the life you have can be such a blessing. But I won't sit here and say its easy. In fact I know it's not. But I do know it is SO rewarding. I have so much to say but it's late and I need to get to bed. I had such an incredible weekend but I'll have to save that for next post!

    1. Very interesting - I find that sometimes Christians want to gloss over the difficult parts of learning what it means to follow Christ and they try to appear as though they are perfect when in fact they are sinners. And many of us sin a little or a lot everyday. It's a constant learning and growth process.
I love the library! I'm such a nerd! On a hot day most people want to go to the pool. I'd rather go to a bookstore or a library!
