Book heaven!

Being a SAHW once my daily chores are done and I've filled out some applications and finished the assessment test that may accompany those applications, I find that I have a couple of hours before hubby comes home. That gives me plenty of time to read. Most recently I've been reading a trilogy by Nora Roberts called The Inn Boonsboro. I've read the first two book and am looking forward to book 3 coming out this fall! Its a wonderful trilogy featuring the Montgomery brothers. 3 young men born and raised in Boonsboro who own and operate a family construction business. There are wonderful storylines that allow you to get to know each brother in depth in each book. Here's the back cover!
The historic hotel in BoonsBoro, Maryland, has endured war and peace, changing hands, even rumored hauntings. Now it’s getting a major facelift from the Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. As the architect of the family, Beckett’s social life consists mostly of talking shop over pizza and beer. But there’s another project he’s got his eye on: the girl he’s been waiting to kiss since he was fifteen…

Reading these books made me want to find this little town and move there ASAP! I've always wanted to live in a small town. Sure everyone knows your name and they think they know all your business, but there's something about the idea of living in a small town near a big city that I love!

  1. Everyone loves Nora Roberts and I've never read any of her books! (Although, I think i've seen a ton of Lifetime movies that were adaptations of her books! lol)

I really love book series because I get so emotionally invested into book characters (please tell me I'm not the only one!) It is nice to have them stick around for multiple books.

If the series made you want to move, I'll take that as a positive recommendation! I'm finishing up Malcolm X and I could use a good lighter novel series to perk me up a bit.

Thanks for posting. I'd love to know what other books you've read. Have you read Cutting For Stone? I've heard it is amazing, but it is sitting on my shelf and I haven't jumped in to read it yet. Also, have you read "The Shack"? I've heard it was a Christian novel so I bought it, but I heard mixed things from various people about how God was portrayed...so that also sits on my self. Love to hear your thoughts.

  2. Thanks for visiting my page! I haven't read CUtting For Stone - I'll add it to my list and see how I like it. I have read The Shack and I recommend it to EVERYONE. Christian or not. It is a beautifully written book. It is incredibly descriptive and the journey Mack takes in the book is incredible.

  3. Okay, I'm going to start reading it tonight! Let me know if you get Cutting For Stone and I'll read it at the same time as you (it's kind of nice to have someone to discuss books with!)

So glad to have found another book lover!
