Workout Wednesday!

This has been a tough week! I worked out last week on Wed, Thurs, and Friday. Not over the weekend at all (and I had the nerve to have cold stone while I was in AZ....tsk tsk tsk) And I've been so exhausted that I've slept through my 530 wake up every morning this week. I've been getting up around 550 which gives me just enough time to get my yoga in. And really I think that's been so great. I really feel good doing the yoga. I used to do a Denise Austin video and I loved it so much that I visited Amazon to find it and will have This Video on once again! If you haven't tried Yoga at all you should try it. If you find the right instructor or instructional video it can be both fun and beneficial.
Thankfully I haven't gained any weight since last Wed! But I haven't lost any either. So I'm just going to try and get to bed a little earlier and see if that helps with the waking up on time and exhaustion. I think I got too used to taking a nap each day - when it was just me and the baby it was all good. But having added and 11 y/o, nap time is gone! She wants (and needs!) to be active! And I want her to be active. No lazy bones around here. I firmly believe kids shouldn't spend all day in the summers indoors. Even growing up in AZ when the temp was regularly over 100 we would spend a few hours each day outside. In the morning it was a walk after breakfast. In the early evening (or afternoon depending on how hot it was) we'd go to the nearest Jr. High and go swimming. And if it was even too hot for swimming, we'd go to the roller rink! And that was in addition to our indoor activities which for me, mostly meant reading a good book! Those were the days!
