Resolutions

At the end or beginning of a year people begin to talk about or make resolutions. I rarely do because I rarely keep them. When 2012 began, the only thing I resolved to do was continue to ensure that my focus was on my marriage and keep looking for a job. I truly enjoy being married. And truth be told, I enjoy being a housewife most of the time. Sure it gets boring but I really enjoy being able to fix us mostly healthy meals, most of the time. Sending him off to work in the morning with a hot meal, lunch and a kiss. Being home and alert (not always the case when I was working for the airline) and having dinner together and going to bed together. That was something that didn't happen when I was working at the airline. We have so much more time to spend together. As for the job part - I'm still unemployed. Still looking and will keep updated on that!
I've decided to go back to school for early childhood education. Its a 16 month program and I'll update more on that later. For now, back to resolutions - I'm going to make a few this year. I'm sorting them out in my head before I post and make them permanent. I really enjoyed Lindsey's resolution update post over at Learning to be a Wife. I love that she's able to reflect back and remember exactly what she resolved to do and see how she did. So this year I'm going to make some resolutions. I'm going to make them realistic. And I'm going to hold myself accountable for getting them done! I'm also going to make a list of the books I'd like to read in 2013. I read quite a few this year and yet I wish I had read a few more! So I'll be carrying a few from my 2012 list into 2013. Thanks to Good Reads I have managed to keep track of the ones I've read and the ones I want to read. If you have any suggestions, I'm totally open to them! Time to finish watching this football game - Would you believe my first year in Fantasy Football and at the end of the regular season not only did I make it to the playoffs, but I also truly enjoy the game. My husband has been wonderful in helping me learn to understand the game which has helped me to like it much more than I did before. Currently my is losing to my new sister in law. But it's all been fun win, or lose! Back to the post topic -Here's an article I enjoyed reading about resolutions and I think the author makes some wonderful suggestions for resolutions that not only make us better, but also the world around us! And this one here about setting goals that just might help me to keep the resolutions this time around!
XOXO
