On My Mind

Next month I celebrate my birthday. My 32nd anniversary of life :-) And what I want most for my birthday, I won't be getting. And while part of me would like to sit and dwell on that. The part of me that sees the big picture sees how wonderful life truly is. And how incredibly blessed I am. I serve and amazing God and he gave me the most amazing husband. My relationship with my family is great. And I am finally doing something I really enjoy. I always thought it would be great to work with kids. I had no idea how great it really is. The only thing that would make it better, is getting paid more for it! But I'm getting paid enough for now. As for celebrations, I think big celebrations should be reserved for big days. For my 40th we're planning to take a 2 week european cruise. We figure that'll probably cost us $15-20K including flights, more if we have children and choose to take them with us. Until then, I'm opting for low-key celebrations. Almost certainly they will involve eating at a wonderful restaurant. This year we're planning to go to Founding Farmers for brunch and have some friends come along! If any of you will be in the D.C. area, you are more than welcome to join us! The more the merrier!
