So I've already been to Tiffany's Page and read a few of the stories. I thank you all for sharing :-) So here's mine:
As I think about my most embarrassing moment, I realize that I've only just shared the story with my husband a few days ago - which is probably why it came to mind so quickly today! I'll warn you now - it is a bit adult in nature but not graphic. A few years ago when I was still single, I shared my townhouse with a roommate. He (yup he) and I were good friends and it was a nice arrangement. At this point, I had made the decision that I was going to wait until marriage to have sex. And my super supportive girlfriends decided that it was about time for me to get a personal massage device. Some of my more experienced friends took me on a field trip to Hustlers of Hollywood. I was beyond amazed at the amount of devices and the sizes they came in. (My face was red most of the time we were in the store) The sales people were quite helpful as my friends explained my situation and they proceeded to give me quite the tutorial - batteries included! (my ears were redder than my face by this point) After about an hour we left the store and two of us had small discreet packages containing a personal massager. It took me weeks to build up the courage to try it out and after some discussion with a friend she suggested I try it while in the tub. So I took it to the tub. Played around with it and chickened out. Decided I didn't really wasn't ready for that. (call me a prude if you want - it won't bother me!) SO later that evening, roommate and I were downstairs watching tv when we heard something fall and there was rumbling coming from upstairs. He went up to check it out and wouldn't you know it, the thing had somehow fallen off the side of my tub and into the tub and it was just vibrating around the tub...My poor roommate. He came back downstairs and his face was SO RED... as he said maybe I should go check it out. I was mortified when I looked and saw it. I turned it off, put it back in its package and he and I never spoke about it again. In fact, when I told my husband the other day, he was surprised that Roomie didn't tell him as they are very close ( grew up together). And that just made me love my old roomie even more!
So if you think you've had an embarrassing day, just remember, it can always be worse...
Happy 1st weekend of Spring!
oh NO! I'm laughing out loud, my own ears probably red thinking about what that must have been like {I'm sort of a prude too I think}, lol. You definitely take the prize for embarrassing with this story. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLOL, that reminds me of an embarrassing moment with my friend's boyfriend. They were over at my house and we walked into my room to grab some stuff before we left. I had been doing my makeup before they came over and some of it was still lying on my bed. Robert sat down on the edge of the bed and a tube of mascara rolled toward him and hit him in the hand. He jumped off the bed yelling and carrying on and when he turned around and saw it was mascara, he immediately went quiet. When I asked him what he had thought it was, he turned red. Pam and I had a good laugh at his expense. I can't believe he would think I'd just leave one of those lying around, LOL.
ReplyDeleteRamsaygrace - My face gets red thinking about it! And Husband says he can picture the look on his friends face - priceless!
ReplyDeleteLaura - I can imagine his face! Thanks for sharing! LOL
